I made cupcakes last night and Lex and Wilks iced them this morning...18 total! We thought we'd bring them to girls group today...but it was canceled. Of course we had to try them ! Happy to report the cupcakes are uber yummy... Lex made the icing color by blending two neon colors Came out a light lavender . Lex decided she wanted to go the beach and play in the sand. Thankfully today was the warmest day we've had in weeks...sunny and in the high 5o's. Nice drive down Colonial Parkway to York River Beach...we had late lunch at York Pub and the girls played on the beach and jetty rocks for a few hours. The air was still very chilly...and I had to retreat to the car after a while...can't wait for the more steady spring weather to arrive. We stopped at two thrift stores on the way home: Liv found 3 pair of jeans she liked , Wilkes got 4 pairs of dress khakis and a Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning Italian book, Lex and I found, Pokemon Yahtzee and a complete set of wooden peg games, a new hurricane glass thingy for our blue glass lamp and a Barrons's book about Hamster(best deal at .25cents!! $12.99 local bookstore sticker still on it). We love thrifting! Happy Happy Day!
